Terms of Service

Last updated September 10, 2026

These terms govern your use of Refoid, including its dashboard, Apple integration, automated responses, notification forwarding, email, and subscription features.

The service

Refoid receives App Store Server Notifications, verifies supported signed data, prepares responses using the settings you select, sends them to Apple, retries eligible temporary failures, and presents an audit trail. Apple alone decides whether to approve or decline a refund. The service does not guarantee a particular decision, recovery rate, or revenue result.

Your account and applications

You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, keep a valid subscription, and have authority to connect each application and Apple Developer account. Selecting a response profile is your explicit instruction to apply it to verified refund requests for that application. You are responsible for the accuracy and legal basis of consent, delivery, usage, and other facts represented by that profile.

Subscriptions and payment

Paddle is the merchant of record and manages checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoices, recurring charges, payment methods, plan changes, and the customer portal. Prices, renewal timing, and any proration are shown by Paddle or in Billing before confirmation. A cancellation stops renewal according to Paddle’s applicable terms and normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Use Manage subscription in Billing for subscription changes. Requests to cancel a Refoid subscription, refund a Refoid subscription charge, or dispute a payment must be submitted through Paddle’s buyer support and are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.

Plan limits and interruptions

Application, response-count, and refund-value allowances are measured as described on the pricing and Billing pages. When a subscription is inactive or a limit is reached, new automated responses may be paused while incoming notifications and status information remain available where possible. You remain responsible for keeping billing and Apple credentials current.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to submit false or misleading evidence, access applications you do not control, interfere with the service, evade limits, distribute malware, probe other accounts, or violate Apple’s terms, applicable law, or third-party rights. We may suspend access when reasonably needed to protect the service, users, or third parties.

Availability and liability

The service may change and may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, Apple or Paddle changes, network failures, or events outside reasonable control. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied guarantees beyond those that cannot legally be excluded, and liability is limited to direct losses reasonably connected to the service.

Ending use and changes

You may stop using the service and cancel renewal through Paddle. We may update these terms when the product, providers, or law changes and will publish the updated date. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
